Have you tried to lvl up companions? Make a separate group and charge with them the enemy!
(ah, btw! Why group numbers are not remembered by saving the game? I always have to set that when I load a game)
They just run on the edge of the map before they charge again and they miss the target with top skills (120+) and gear!
It takes forever for them to kill some looters. (I have to note that my companions have 2H axes with 138 range, just one with polearm). In Warband they were quite deadly.
In parties with others they barely make some kills, sometimes none!
I think the AI is too weak and it needs to be looked-over!
