B Other Cinematic Compilation (Graphic & Sound Enhancement) [v3.0 Released][1.153]

Users who are viewing this thread

I can't hear the new sounds with v1.153 patch (I hear the vanila ones). Visuals seem to be compatible. I would like to improve some textures that I think could be better in this compilation, like "Better Skyboxes" (better sky), and also I do not like stone building textures.

True. I can recommend to add these: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,142127.0.html and http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,109401.0.html
They should both be compatible. However you might want to install also this: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,51681.0.html

Thanks. Now the sound and the blood works. Sorry, it was my mistake, with v2 I only installed textures folder to prevent pfs slowdowns, and it is what I have done now with v3.0 (my computer can not handle so many vegetation I think, I play using Nvidia 3D vision and I need a constant 120hz @ vsync on). I think the textures is by far the most impresive in this mod, and I do not notice pfs impact.

I don't know if there is a solution to load different skies when playing multiplayer, I'm bored seying alwais the same sky.

Hey Guys,

Sorry if this is a stupid question, kind of new with the whole mod thing. So I changed the file as specified above and saved it, but when I launch the game, under module drop down menu there is no option of Cinematic Compilation... does it apply automatically to native? Please help me out.

Thanks!

Actually, the mod is not a 'mod', it is a sort of pack. Thus, you can simply extract it to Native, or you can apply it to other mods.

The arrows flying through the air looks really sexy now. Also there's one thing I'm wondering, would it be possible to just remove some of the sounds, without corrupting the game?

You can simply change the sounds in the 'sounds' folder (that is in Native folder or other mod folder). But you need to find which sounds are that you want to change, so you need to check out the whole sounds at first.

Sorry if this was already answered, but I am looking at the readme and see "Step3.

If you want to add a 'realistic balistics',

Open 'item_kinds.txt' and then find 'flying_missile', change them to 'flying_arrow' or 'flying_bolt' "

That is just an aesthetic thing right? It doesn't effect the physics or anything of the arrows right?

Strikes me that the developers couldn't just make the missile look like a real arrow/bolt like this mod does, but rather had to make it look like some deformed spear flying through the air, which just looks plain ugly to my eyes.

I thought the same but the blurred thingy is easier to see at great distances. I wonder if it's possible to have a LOD to have the best of both worlds.

Awesome mod, but two things:

1) Dropbox link goes down due to too much traffic, please upload elsewhere. I suggest mediafire.

2) You talked about compatibility as a goal, so is this compatible with Floris?
