Can new custom wanderer templates be loaded into existing games now?

I just loaded an old save game file and I could have sworn that newly added wanderers from a new mod were added to an existing game. Previously new wanderer templates could only be added to a new campaign. Has this been changed?

Could someone test this out for me to see if I am correct?

This has significant implications for a mod I am about to release and I need to know if the documentation that I have written for it is out of date.

As it turns out, you can now add new wanderers to an existing game.
