Can armies starve?

I'm watching an army lead by Caladog, and it's constantly suffering wounds whilst moving. It's jsut riding around and the numbers are going down, and wounded going up? Never seen it before and wondering if it's starving? Or there's a bug in the beta?

Yes, armies can starve - it manifests as exactly what you see, steadily more wounded while on the march. Army starvation is one of the most common causes for a faction's military defeats, unfortunately: march for too long without bringing adequate food supplies, starve mid-siege, abandon siege, limp home on half-strength, get beaten by a defending army.
