what does this mean?

In one of the napoleonic wars patches a while back they put a much harder limit on how fast you can turn during an attack, either when chambered or releasing, this got copied over into warband too. The difference is quite staggering for shield fighting and duelling with the limit not in place, it feels much more free and less sluggish.
 
Since the elusive Lust has been spotted, I'll ask my question again.

Why are you guys still lowering ranged unit athletics? It seems that public outcry has convinced you that lowering it by 2 or 3 points is a bad idea. So why lower it by 1 point? It's still going to have a noticeable negative impact on archer melee and couch/missile dodging. Is this what you're trying to accomplish? Are you considering how the changes will affect public play? And what merit does a one point athletics decrease actually bear?
 
Today we're releasing the links on the forums for both the Warband and the NW patch. Uploading right now.

The official release will be on monday morning to ensure that if anything goes wrong, we'll be able to deal with it quickly. It also has the benefit of avoiding interference with tournaments or weekend events like the Vikingr one. Also this weekend will give people a chance to port admin mods etc. since we're releasing the MS and everyone should be prepared for when the patch kicks in. We'll try to give an exact time for that before monday, in order to minimise downtime.

Ohh yeah!! Waiting for the patch on Steam: =)
 
Absolutely loving the new beta patch. Vaegir archers don't spawn with free scimitars, cant start the round with heavy armour AND are slightly slower?! Its almost like they might actually need to be supported by the other two classes now!

I stopped playing a while ago, but this just might bring me back into warband. Time to warm up!
 
OK all the files are ready for you to use now. Remember that this patch is not server compatible with the last one so you might want to wait until people have updated their servers. The patch will overwrite any singleplayer tweaks of admin mods you use.

The patch will be finally released on monday morning, where it will be posted on the website and pushed out to Steam.
