basic question about marshallship(diplomacy mod)

i have been elected to the marshall of the kingdom of nords and everybody following me but not joining me in battles.
what i need to do for they will join at battles?

In native they just have to be within a certain range when you start the battle.  If they aren't close enough when the battle starts they will never join.

Not sure if diplo is different in this respect.

They will only join you in the battles you start yourself. If you join an existing one they'll just wait outside until you're finished. The only exception is on sieges, where they'll join you even if the siege battle has already started, or when an enemy lord forces you to battle.

Tends not to be best practice to post duplicate threads in different places around the forum (see the other in the diplo sub-board)...then you get duplicate answers and it is difficult to track what people have said. And contributes to forum clutter and junk.
