Armies?

When you ask a lord how goes a war with anotehr faction he will tell you how many armies each side has. How does the game calculate that? Is it like amount of men or parties. I never knew and now im really curious. Please and Thank you.

I believe it's just parties.

Each AI lord in one faction, including the king and the player if they are alligned to any faction, with men in a party is considered one army. Garrisons dont count.

As I recall, it's a certain number of troops that a lord has.

I think once he reaches somewhere around 50 or so troops in a party, it's considered an "army" and gets counted that way.

I believe lords not in the field are not counted. IIRC.

Well i believe that an army is a lord that has a party of more than 75~90% of his maximum limit ; when I changed the limits and lords where roaming with 500+ men still said that there are no armies (Until they reached their limit).

the game uses a formula. Simple.

Its the number of active armies for that faction (or parties)
