You are using wrong material options or a wrong alpha channel.

Edit your alpha channel: Make it gray and not white. You can change your alpha channel in Photoshop by going into the channels tab and creating/editing the alpha texture.

To let you know, white on alpha will be shiny and black will be matt, grey is inbetween.
