assign clan role

Hello, Does anyone have a work around to this issue? I've tried adding roles via the drop down menu as well as speaking directly but the companions I assign are being periodically removed.

I have searched everywhere ingame for an option to switch my clan leader (character). There was a mod called Heritage that allowed me to do this but that mod stopped updating about year ago. I would suggest giving us an option to switch characters from the Clan Screen like in Heritage...
