Thanks for the responses, Quin!
Anyways, on to my responses.
1. Lack of Wars? I haven't noticed anything like that. If anything the kingdoms have mostly alays been at war; but I have stayed around the Swadian area anyways. Zandar has remained neutral most of the time, but even they fought the Sultanate, too. The Order has fought, same with the Norse... I've seen uite a few wars and updates on them pop up almost every week. It seems consistent, around par with PoP.
2. I'll try that shaders addon immediately. Sounds fun.
3. The only bugs I have found are two different ones; After accidentally Shift+clicking into the water and then normally going back into the harbor or docks, the boats never work again and tell me that player party is an invalid party ID. Also, I do experience an odd problem with colonies; Wells are what increase my population, not houses. Houses do nothing, but when I place a well, it increases my population maximum. I started placing wells inside of houses, to make it look better, but of course this means I have to build a house AND a well.
For Trading, I have tried to do the prefix-items as best I can, but again, with the prefixes, trading is just downright painful. Can Oil, Iron, Wool, Silk, and Pottery have no prefixes then? Just those trade items? That way some trade items can have prefixes, and those main ones are just normal items.
New World Treasure hunt locations? I haven't seen any of them. Is there some way to make them appear? I used the cheat "view All" to look around, but saw the New World was really empty, so I assumed it was just a blank location for colonies.
Gathering. Since Smithing is coming, all I can do is plead with you to add hides to the hunting. Perhaps require hides for tailoring. As for the speed of the gathering, I had to spent 7 hours of my 20 just gathering. It was infuriating. Again and again, I would mine out the area, then leave and return. The absolute worst part of it was the stone. There's only a total of 6 locations to mine in a single stone quarry, and you have to go uphill to get 5 of them meaning you have a long way to walk. it was an absolute infuriating job, just pure repition. If we could have servants or companions mine for us instead of us actually do it, that'd be a lot better. Perhaps a tradeoff for breaking a pick 30% each run instead of 2% of the time? So when you send a companion, it has a high chance of breaking your pick but gives you the stone. Same could be for gathering timber. Timber however was a lot easier. Just a quick walk to the first zone straight ahead of the entrance, and you have a nice amount of timber there; about 15-16. Then repeat until you have the amount you want.
Brytenwalda allows you to make carts. I STRONGLY suggest you add this into Nova, because of the amount of resources we need to ship around the world. If you want, perhaps have it be a part of the player faction, so that bandits will attack if it you go too fast and aren't escorting it.
I do have another idea to add! What if you can buy houses in villages? It'd increase the prosperity of the village permanently (making it so that they won't drop to very poor after being raided), make the lord of the village happy with you, and also give extremely low income. (100/wk) If you do that, you might be able to remove hovels from cities completely.
