Roles explained:
The starting ranks of The Myrmidons are based on ant hierarchy but because reading about ants and their ranking system is complicated and I don’t want to spend hours upon hours reading about ants, our higher ranks will be based on the Roman legions.
Main Roles:
Emperor: The leader of The Myrmidons, not obtainable by anyone else.
Senator: Senators are our most trusted members, they contribute hugely to the clan and when the Emperor isn’t available senators will take charge and do whatever is needed. Senators are required to be our most active members and contribute more than anyone else, whether that be in game or with helping to administrate The Myrmidons.
Legatus: To become a Legatus of The Myrmidons, you would have previously been a Centurion and shown that you can lead people in an organised manner instead of an unorganised mob. A Legatus will be in charge of 2 Centurions consisting of 2 Cohorts so a total of 36 people, this may be increased to 3 in the future, this will be called a Legion.
Centurion: Centurions are commanders of The Myrmidons, each one is in charge of 18 people (including themselves) which will be called a Cohort. They can choose to have 2 Optio below them to act as a sub commander or second/third in command. As the max group size is 6, each Optio and the Centurion would lead a group, with the Centurion being the main commander.
Optio: An Optio of The Myrmidons are members who have been in the faction for a long time, they have contributed a lot, have proven their loyalty and have actively been helping other members of The Myrmidons. As an Optio there is also potential for you to show your leadership skills, as not all but certain Optio may be chosen to be sub-commanders of a Centurions Cohort, which is in a way a second in command.
Legionary: The highest non commander rank you can achieve, any rank above this will involve either commanding others or helping to moderate The Myrmidons.
Soldier: To become a soldier of The Myrmidons you need to be more than just active. Like below you must show loyalty and contribute but now you must also consistently help other members of The Myrmidons. This could be by helping to train them in game or simply answering any questions they may have.
Diplomat: This role is for people from other clans who we are allies with.
Worker: This rank will be given to those who have shown some loyalty and contribution to The Myrmidons.
Drone: You are an official member of The Myrmidons, this is the starting rank of each member.
Larvae: You are yet to hatch and become a full member of The Myrmidons. Read through all the rules and you will become a full member and given access to the discord.
Sub Roles and Achievements:
Achilles Chosen: The Chosen of Achilles, regardless of your rank within The Myrmidons, you have shown yourself to be a worthy warrior and are given this achievement to show others your might and prestige.
Vaegir Guard: Named in honour of the Varangian Guard that served the Byzantine Empire. This sub role will be given to Vaegir Recruits who have completed their training and feel ready to move forward. Training is completed once whoever happens to be training you is satisfied with your skill level and feels like you’ve learned all you can from them.
Vaegir Recruit: The Vaegir Recruit sub role is for those who want to attend training in order to become a better player and one day receive the Vaegir Guard sub role.
