Gamescom is around the corner, and as you may have imagined, we will be there showcasing Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. We can’t tell you exactly what we will show just yet, but we can at least confirm that it will be something slightly different from the demo that we took to E3.

[/parsehtml]Read more at: http://www.taleworlds.com/en/Games/Bannerlord/Blog/21

I'm still trying to get used to this "weekly blog" thing. It is... too often for a TaleWorlds community member. I'm so satisfied and scared at the same time.

Thanks for the new blog, I understand you can't give away all the details of the upcoming demo but can you confirm that we will get to see some non battle related gameplay this time?

"...but we can at least confirm that it will be something slightly different from the demo that we took to E3". Thanks for answering my question.

If everything's about slight differences, I hope we're going to see raids and the supposed ambush mechanics at work, or at least a change in showcased factions.

Although I appreciate it's not the most exciting aspect to showcase please can we have some campaign map stuff? It's been a year and a half since we last saw it.

Also-

'Five years is actually not that long for the development of a game which encompasses as much as Bannerlord does.'

You started development at the same time as you released the teaser... surely a mistake? You are okay with keeping the release flexible out of respect for fans (which is fine) but that didn't apply to the announcement?

The good thing is that it is immediately announced that there won't be mentions about the release date on upcoming Gamescom, I appreciate it.

Well are they going to talk about diplomacy or trade system or both I really wonder.
Because there is nothing left to talk about we saw siege battles in both perspectives we also saw ground battles several times (Pc Gamer videos, E3 2017)

Hmm maybe multiplayer.Yes, seems to be most likely.

In which building will you be and will it be available to "normal" visitors or just for journalists like last year? Last year talewords was the reason I went to the gamescom and I was really disappointed when I realised that I should have checked if I had access to the stand. So this time I will ask before I will buy a ticket again. Please give me a quick reply, as there are not many tickets left. Thank you in advance!

We will be in the business area. You won't be able to get access to our booth with a normal ticket, sorry!

To sum this up: the release date will be announced only when the game is ready.
Following this logic it means that the announcement of the release date and actual release will be no more then a couple of weeks?
It's fine by me! I would rather find out that game will be released in a few weeks than waiting half a year or even more with a degree of incertitude of extending it even more if targets are not met.
I hope this puts an end to all the hysterical behavior on the forums!

This was more of an apology than a DEVELOPER BLOG. Just gonna throw that out there.

It was also an announcement of the subject of next week's blog; Q&A with Armagan. Assuming it's a live Q&A, that gives people a whole week to think up questions which aren't "When's the release date?"

Fair enough both Announcement to the next blogs subject and an apology about the lack of release date. Still not a dev blog.

I bet all the good stuff is being prepared for Gamescon. Makes sense to showcase the big stuff there. I didn't see very much of an apology; more an explanation about why there has been no release date and why there will continue to be no release date until the game is ready.

I doubt it .
"it will be something slightly different from the demo that we took to E3."
I bet we are gonna see defenders perspective or something. Or our hero is gonna be the one giving commands. Something along those lines.

At least we know not to get excited about Gamescom. That is something.

YOU ARE A FANTASTIC COMPANY. I BELIEVE BANNERLORD WILL STUN ALL OF US. I SENSE THERE WILL BE A RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT BY THE END OF 2017.
