Not really. To me it looked like the Captain Co-Op from WFAS, with some nice addons(the chests, mainly) - you'll probably play it once or twice, or when you're bored, but the vast majority of players won't touch it again after.
It's like CTF, F&D and HQ - all game modes that have been in Native for ages, only to basically never be touched.
 
It seems like taleworlds is trying to take as much profit from Warband as possible, since after Bannerlord no one will care for the old-engine games... I don't like this, but can't judge them. They seem to need profit. Small enterprises need it more than anything.

I don't think I quite understand the whining about Bannerlord on every forum thread/game server, indeed
