problems with on-board clock.

Users who are viewing this thread

I have windows xp and i have a probelm.

For 2 years now ive had a probelm with my on-board clock in my PC.
Whenever i set time, it always jumps back at manually set time.
Example: i set time to 23:61. A hour pases, its 0:61. After a second it jumps back to 23:61.

Has anyone else experienced this problem.
Help me. Eventualy.

It's been ages since I fiddled around with XP but I *think* you should check in BIOS, I seem to recall seeing something about a clock last time I partitioned my HD.

Then again my memory is terrible and maybe my brane just made it all up. Go have a look in BIOS though.

Other than that, not sure. I'd need to have XP in front of me to see if I can replicate your problem, and I no longer have access to XP.

I was going to suggest the same.

Does the clock go out of sync after the PC has been turned off?

Is it syncing with some internet clock? The clock can be set based on internet time, and it could be that yours is syncing with a bad server.

No. I recently looked back at ALL the settings and im sure that bothways are broken. I believe i have set sonething up, that screws it all. Is that a possibility.
Or i might just get a new battery.
