I like it
least someone does
I thought the SOH sword and dussack were great, apparently no one else does :p
maybe i should start modeling things i hate/dont like so that theyd get more attention...

I like them both! I haven't had time to download and play with the model, so I couldn't tell you much else.

not so pretty but i had a spare moment and i had already made the model earlier (=few years back).

The nordic sword looks much better than it did. Your skills must be improving.

About the cane knife...I would hate to be hit by that thing  But very nice.
One crit on the cane knife, the edges look too hard. Wood would not naturally be that rough on the seam of the handle.

and well yeah, the shading on the renderings probably make it look worse too. 35 degrees.

God it looks so good, i'm wondering if you could do a nimcha sword ? like this one :

there are a lot of references if you type "nimcha sword" on google images

sure, i can do the model but you are going to have to find someone else to do the textures, those are still more than just a bit beyond my skills!

heres the sword. its probably not quite to the specifications but its unfortunately also the best i could do.
its also a whopping 1480 or so polys right now so if and when you get done texturing it toss it back my way, ill try and sort that out.

picture (too big for img tagging)

you can find the sword itself here, file name nimcha no textures.

What time period's the nimcha from?  I'd like to do some vaguely-Moroccan guys in Blood and Steel, so some references might be nice

Great work on the nordic sword; I may find some time to reskin it and the cane knife   Been so darn busy with the mod, haven't had time to tackle most of this bunch yet, but it's on my list of things to do

BTW, I totally love your beef splitters that I skinned (hell, I like everything in that pack, it's really cool), they make Farmers look so eeeevil when they're swarming about with them

A Nimcha is a single-handed sword from northwestern Africa, especially Morocco, a type of scimitar or saif. These blades are usually from the late 18th century onwards and are notable for often using older blades. Many nimcha have European blades from as early as the 17th century, and from as far away as Germany. With this variety of possible blade designs nimcha are distinct with the hilts that sport forward pointing quillions, and wooden handles with squared off "hooked" pommels. The cross guard will often have a knuckle guard which starts beneath the quillions and runs to the bottom of the pommel; on the opposite side of the hilt this path is normally continued into a 3rd quillion. These swords bear strong resemblances to the neighboring Arab.

and yeah good to know man! although the more i look at the cane knife the cheaper the handle model starts to look, ought to teach me not to make things too lowpoly....
need to find pictures of a better one with the longer handle, been wanting to make one like it, need to remember not to mess that one up too. as for making guys look more evil with the cleavers, kinda makes me want to try and create blood spattered pig/warthog skull & skin armour to go with em  -maybe various other animal parts too...
dunno if i can or have the time for it either but ill try and give it a shot :p

There seems to be a little problem with scale and placement, but it's not a big deal. I will sent you back the file properly scaled, uvmapped, and textured when i get it done. but thank you very much for that  saved me a lot of work.

Xenoargh, i think that nimcha were used even at the late 16th century, and I like the idea of "vaguely-Moroccan guys in Blood and Steel" I could give some help if you really intend to do it.

hi guys! im kinda hoping to get back into modeling things once more after my recent few month hiatus... but as of right now im almost out of ideas on what should i get started with so requests and/or recommendations would be more than welcome
ie like that nimcha deal i did...

2 years ago a robber try to brake into my house while my grandmother was in the garden. She scared away the robber with the farming tool she had in her hands. The weapon was a "Zapin". First I laught a bit about a 86 years old woman scaring a robber but I must accept the zapin is  a bit scary.
Anyway i want to include the zapin as a weapon for female peasants in my mod
If you are intrested here is a photo of the "weapon"
