Man, that's the only way that big-ass lumbering army can kill a steppe bandit is to intervene for villagers.

What else can it do? You do know you can garrison some of those guys, right?

I remember the 200 man villager parties in Mount&Blade 0.808. A few farmers and all the rest saved prisoners. Not even Dark Knights were able to stop them.

I've got about 13 towns, 50 castles and 100 villages so money isn't a problem. 

BTW I have that may because I'm the ruler of my own kingdom, holding every location except the kingdom of Vaegirs, with only about 10 vassals.
