Armor in no way makes more sense. Both 'o' and 'ou' are capable of being pronounced 'ə' in such positions.

Besides, it looks so empty without a 'u'. I just wish we still used 'Terrour'. So much more respectable looking

Finally, stop calling it British spelling --- all English speakers, save for Americans, spell words more or less in that manner.
