Hey everyone,

In giving us some help, ThaneWulfgharn toned down some of the saturation for us on the Ottoman uniforms. Here they are, and thanks ThaneWulfgharn

Hey everyone,

After several straight days of hammering a lot of stuff out, I wanted to show the new map, some scenes of the new Ottomans in battle, plus some other previews. I will be redoing Spain to be more contemporary, as well as Sweden. Some places may seem like they shouldn't be owned by other nations, but that's due to sieges in my game .

Anyone interested in making us some Map Icons? We're still using the Native ones and we'd love to have some original, late 17th/early 18th century icons. PM myself and Auldman if you're up for it. These are things like cities, villages, castles, the caravans, lord parties, peasants, etc.

you have a typos there in the standard menu, it says stanard

Haha! I had not even noticed. Thank you, I'll correct that posthaste.

However, if that's the only criticism, I've done my job  Hahaha!!

Thank you . We're hoping to get the first installment out to the public soon.

oh yeah, i want to ask, are there any effect to the party from the drummer or the standard bearer?

also, you didn't use polished landscape, right? tell me you didn't use it

The plan is for drummers and standard bearers to provide morale bonuses, but I haven't coded that yet.

We used "Realistic Colours" and "Expanded Horizons" for our graphics. We're going to be editing the EH set, as it creates awkward scenes at times. I like Polished Landscapes, but it doesn't really fit with Europe in this time period. No real reason for it. Plus it uses a profound amount of RAM and VRAM that we would rather spend on gameplay and other aspects.

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!? HOWLONG WAS I GONE?
THAT IS THE BEST MOD I HAVE EVER SEEN!!..

Which motivated me to go and get those sounds =)

PS: a very minor issue: In the beginning screen when you are awarded a banner, it has spelled "standard" wrong =p just letting you know

Hahaha! Someone else already pointed out the typo. I fixed it for the next developer's release.

You were gone about three months. It's good to have you back . However....we work fast. It wouldn't have moved this quick if we weren't all extremely enthusiastic, dedicated, and in love with the creativity of it all.

Im tingling with excitement! Do you think you could put some special dialougues like in Brytenwalda for people like Churchill, Prince Eugene of Savoy, Charles XII and Tsar Peter? Especially Charles, the guy was ambitious and would probably have some interesting stuff to say.

By the way I don't have the patience to search through the thread for an answer  Hows the artillery coming along?

You know that is an excellent idea and one I had not thought of. Hmmm we'll look into that.

As for artillery we've got some ideas on how to do it but it will not feature in the first release unfortunately. That's going to have to be tested by us first. Glad your tingling! Nice to meet you!

Thats too bad. Theyll at least be included as scene props though right?

And nice to meet you too! I'm a big fan of you guy's work and I'm glad you like the idea. You humble this recruit

They'll be in as scene props at first. We are working on getting them actually useful in the mod. We have some hopes of success.

The city of Cherbourg, the sea is at low tide and the boat waiting in the bay. The castle was destroyed in 1689 and was no fortification was rebuilt before 1779

At first- Oh a singleplayer mod version of MM.. looks boring...

Now - WHAT KIND OF IDIOT AM I? THIS IS AN EPIC MOD!!!

Well thanks.

This mod's time frame/era is set roughly 100 years before the events/time of MM and it's SP (although MP may be done later).
