I've been playing a lot of mp since launch. I'm not a good player (I hardly warband mp) and I'm not in a clan. In both Skirmish and Captain these days most games include atleast a 3-stack of either clansmen or friends. These areplayers that communicate on discord (or similar services) and that will almost always win any game (unless mirrored by the same strat) by that fact alone.
Let's say you play archer in skirmish; any arrow you shoot that passes by the bedroom of any of the opposing players grandmoms will allert all the cav the world has ever known to your location. Same goes for cav plays; you are always welcomed by 2-3 braced spears whereever you shop your groceries. I play inf; when I see an arrow and spot its origin, I don't have the time to type that out. So when I run to get that archer; the moment he sees me 3-4 inf turn back from whereever they where were going to club me down. I feel like I have a lot of valuable intel to give my comrades about where this, that and the other is heading, but I almost always don't have the time to type it out.
This is incredibly unfair to us who just play alone. And even when I get matched in a 5/6 stack I feel incredibly alone since they dont say anything to me, they talk to eachother trough discord. They don't type anything to me, even useful things for me to know since they know they can win easily whitout me. Whenever they talk to me they usually bully me.
I think voice chat should be implemented for everyone. Ingame it could be controlled with push to talk and you could set the key in the ingame keybinding menu. This would level the playing field, but still it would not make clans lose to anyone they shouldn't. They still have the advantage of knowing eachother, having practiced strats, having collective knowledge about their opponents and generally having synergi. Yet It would make the losses feel less frustrating. Right now I, and my single comrades are playing against psychics.
In addition it would make it easier to teach new players. The question "why is everyone attacking faster than me" can't be answered by typing inbetween stocks to help the guy. This hindarence prevents us from bringing new players into the game.
