Two battles no loot. Is it a bug ?

I am a Lord of  the Count of Flanders. I got a lorship after I helped in the war against teh Duchy of Brabant. Now Flanders are at war with France and the Prince of France "the Lion" decided to raid my village. I catched him there and we engaged a battle. I won  and I captured the Prince but I got no loot after the battle.

I stopped a French carovan and I attacked it (another Flemmish lord joined me) but after the battle again there was no loot.

Is it normal or is it a bug ?

Not sure about the second one, but the first case is an old native mechanic/bug - whenever you engage in a village defense (i.e. you attack an enemy while he's raiding a village), you get no loot. Which is why I always try to lure them away from the village first and then engage in battle.

Thanks. I didn't know that. Unfortunately I had to attack them while they were raiding  anyway because I needed the peasants support otherwise the French would have outnumbered me 3 to 2.
