None are available for recruitment as far as I know.  This is probably a good thing, because they'd kill more friendlies than foes.
 
I have fought dynamite guys on a couple of sieges. First time it got me by suprise, i was reloading behind a building and suddenly *boom!*. I guess if you knock them out and then capture you may persuade them to join you. But as yellowmosquito said, i dont think its a good idea.

Ah thanks haven't gotten round to the quick battles yet.  I was hoping he'd be a companion in the main game :grin:
 
Do you guys have a rough outline of the area the mod is set? Or is it just set in more of an amalgam of different areas? The fact that I'm pretty turned around in what appears to be my home state(NM) leads me to believe it's the latter.
 
Do you guys think it would be possible to become a bandit leader yourself?

I played for ages. Got an army of Mid Tiers (About 50) did a siege on a hotel...... the scene was outrageously unfair towards me. I got mowed down.

With the high prices of troops and how difficult sieges are I can't seem to be able to start my own bandit kingdom, any ideas?

The landscape is roughly historical to the border area of Texas, New Mexico, and Mexico.  You can see the Rio Grande on the map.

El Paso is the only real town name, the rest are fictional.
 
In some of the quick battles you start off with an awesome pistol that is accurate and powerful- named something like the Remington new custom...

Is it possible to acquire this pistol in the game from the regular shops, or at all?
 
Also, kudos to whoever designed the face of the character in the "man with no name" quick battle. its an impressive likeness to mr. eastwood

I second this. I'm stuck working for the US, and since everytime they ask me to go out on a campaign with them, all that they do is sit-around and do nothing. Sooooo since they won't do anything, and I can't get them to follow me, I wanna leave. But can't.

This goes for all factions. No one really attacks anybody, and you can't leave factions.

I should mention that the Comanche attack people, but that's about it. Everyone else just sits around.

It's not available as merchandise and I don't think there's anyone you can loot it off.

Is there anyway to import the man with no name face to your character?, that guy looks badass.

It's just a Remington revolver with rediculous good stats. It's not available in the normal game.

You can backup the files "troops.txt" and "menus.txt" and the change these lines:

In menus.txt (the 4th line):

Change the 0 to 5

And in troops.txt (the 8th line):

change this:

to this:

After that you can start a new game with american nationality and you will have that face (and of course the secret clown face).
 
I havent seen the quests to start a war with another faction from the native scripts yet. Is it possible to start a war between the gang you belong to and another gang?

no but yes between main factions... btw, don't recall gangs in native :wink:
 
Why are there strange borders around characters in the lists? There is usually wood or white lines around the square pictures of the characters.
I also think if you start out as a Indian, son of a chief, you should have better weapons than a buttstock and a scapling knife.
Also, what is the point of buying drinks at the bar?

In native lame horses get back to normal if I don't ride them for a week. I've had a lame saddle horse unequipped much longer than that. Does this mod change the horse healing time? Sorry if this has been answered already.

does anyone have wound treatment in your party? there's a medic skill requirement for what ya described to happen... otherwise the lame horse will never recover.
