Strange weapon trails

When I add the shaders to my weapons (I use specular) I notice my weapons have a weird trail when I swing them ingame.  The trail is the same material as the weapon but it doesn't have any transparency at all.  It looks strange and i can live with it but if anyone knows how to fix it or add in my own weapon shading could you help me?

post material settings for your swords (screenshot from Openbrf material page would be perfect).

Besides, I think there are lot of people here that want some kind of this bug in their mod :grin:
 
You will have to ignore the terrible texture, i just put the 'paint' in as a filler.  The model isn't that great as i have only been modeling for 4 days now.

Edit: I just realized you can't see the model, silly me.  If you want to see it too just ask.
 
Got the screenshots working, again, the textures and models suck, but it demonstrates clearly enough.  Also, the bad textures are not the problem, it has done this before with good textures.

I hate the damned motion blur. I wish we had an option to turn it off entirely.

Nonetheless, @xeno, that seems worse than even the normal motion blur. Some sort of transparency/alpha issue, I'd guess? I'm not a modeler/texturer so I'm talking from betwixt mine buttocks, really.

Not true, if i took a regular weapon from the game, slowed it down, the motion blur would still be transparent/alpha'd(?).  It seems to only affect custom weapons.

That may be so.  Perhaps the Material he's using isn't the right one.  Try iron_shader, for example.
 
Yes, the blur has to do with the flags. Try these settings:

Also, try switching to iron_shader I havn't tried this before, but someone told me it will fix problems with shading in-game, without making a spec map, the shader you had in the screenshot requires a specularity map. Oh, and I'm not too sure if you will need the spec flag enabled, but you should try with and without. Hope I helped
