Standalone Linux version

Is there going to be at some point a Standalone Linux Version? (Non-Steam)

Probably not.
It runs fine under wine however.

But I don't understand, it works fine in Linux(native). How would not releasing it like the standalone windows version not be an option in the long term? It's just missing a simple(non-steam) executable & a key activation.

Honestly I prefer wine much more, (mac user here) mainly because I am more in control of what is happening and what I can alter to make it work.
