Both music and sound has been buzzing for me in-game, and I wasn't able to find a response online that worked.
I was playing opening Napoleonic Wars two days ago and noticed my sound wasn't working right by how when music plays there's buzzing in the background that gets louder when the music rises or someone shouts or shoots close by me. This is obnoxious and I've tried everything to fix it. My sound drivers are up to date, I've reinstalled Mount and Blade several times, cleaned any back-ups, the Steam cloud, verified cache and editing the rgl_log.txt file in the game folder from use_winmusic: 1 to 0 ( as suggested on Steam) and nothing seems to work. What can I do? I'm giving up hope, it makes it unbearable to play, but I have to, I enjoy this game so much but playing without sound ruins it for me, all other audio works fine, every other game but this one.
