Script error entering towns/forts

Everything was fine until i randomly started getting this error:
SCRIPT ERROR ON OPCODE 541: Invalid Party ID: 7832; LINE NO: 30:
At Game menu menu_castle_outside.

It happens every time I enter towns or forts. Doesn't happen with villages.

I'm not sure after what action did it start to happen, but it might have been after I demolished my personal refuge, which was red as it was my enemies fief. I could enter it from land, but not from sea(it gave me the attack or leave option). I was fighting that faction and my refugee was the only thing left on map their color so i decided to demolish it just in case. That happen because I created refugee when I was a vassal of Northvergr. But when I gave up being vassal, the refugee stayed their color. I didn't worry about it until I started fighting with them becaue my refugee turned red also as it was my enemy. I'm not sure if that even caused the problem.

The script error doesn't seem to have any effect on the game other than showing every time I enter town/fort menu screen.(that means also when I come out from trading, mead hall or anywhere) But it really annoys me. Doesn't happen in my backup saves. But my last backup save is before my invasion to Norway... I don't want to do 5 sieges and over 10 battles again :/ Hope I can find some help.
 
1) are you playing the latest vanilla version of the game? That means VC 2.036, with no mods/tweaks/cheats. If yes, go to 2

2) post your rgl_log.txt (found on game folder).

3) post a link to download your savegame (Dropbox, GoogleDrive, etc)

4) post your computer info (your OS like Win10 64bits, Ubuntu 17.10, etc)

5) describe your game/campaign (storyline or sandbox, what you were doing, etc)

6) a screenshot of the issue if possible. You can post it here: https://tw.greywool.com/i/

7) post your rgl_config.txt (found on your /Documents folder)


devs need that kind of information to check your game.

devs need that kind of information to check your game.

Everything added to the original post. Screenshot doesn't help anything in this case and my PC specs are also in rgl_log.

are you using 3D menu for towns (scenic menu) or the tradictional 2D menu (Warband) ?

you need to update your Warband installation

I don't know why it says version 1.168. My launcher says 1.172

And I for sure applied the 1.172 patch as the 2.036 viking patch.

I'm using scenic menu

there are two different downloads here

VC download only updates the VC DLC. It does not update the base game/engine. For that you also need to download and update Warband

Steam/GoG do that automagically. Manual installation like via TW website require the 2-step update.

Yes, I did that. Will reinstall just in case, but I for sure did it. My  launcher says 1.172 and I also noticed changes in the game after patching from last version. I installed both, the 1.172 patch AND the viking patch

The game didn't even start with older version of M&B
Gave me and error saying I need version 1.172

So it must be an error in the log. Everything works fine when i apply latest patch and the launcher says 1.172 as you can see in the screenshot above. The script error is still there. Everything was fine for over 1000 days in game. So it must be an error related to some action in game. As I said it could be after demolishing my refugee, which I wrote about in the original post. Unfortunately I can't be 100% sure.

something seems wrong on your installation then. I just checked my local copy (from TW website, as I have both Steam and the downloaded copy on my HD) and the log loads fine

Try doing a new installation on another folder of just Warband and launch it from there to see if your log updates to 1.172
