Salt Mines

I read in that merchants guide on these forums that a good way to make money is to buy salt at the salt mines...however...the only action I can do in the salt mines is sell prisoners. Do I need to sell a certain amount of slaves before I can purchase salt? Or is there a merchant hidden somewhere i can't find? Thanks in advanced for any help.

talk to the other guy at the salt mines, if he's not there upgrade to the latest version (warning old saves won't work)

you can make a pretty awesome living doing the zendar to salt mines run. Just be sure to take prisoners on both legs.
