I think a niche way to buff Melee Cavalry which is still underwhelming to use would be to add Leg Armour to saddles so that cavalry would be better protected.
We can also deduce a buff for Vlandian and Cataphract units who are pretty bad when compared to others because low armour or 2H lance which leaves them exposed to 1 shot projectiles.
