A neat thoughtful approach, my compliments. Though I'd like to point out some issues. Your troops are a weird mix of ethnic and social terms. For example Sarranids got Janissary, Ghulams and Mamluks, while it's pretty much the same thing just used under different names in different cultures: slave-based military. Which also means a troop can't become that type due to advance (yeah, the original Native has that flaw too). The usage of actual ethnic terms looks odd too. Why do you have Alans and Pechenegs, for example, if the rest of peoples in the game use fantasy names? Why would one change his nationality as he upgrades? (And Alans should belong to either Vaegir or Khergit, not to Sarranids in any case. Alans are Sarmatic people, originating from Southern Russia and known to have activity in medieval Europe and Caucasian Mountains). I wouldn't give Vaegir Vikings either, even though I understand your reasons there. It's a common mistake, mixing Vikings and Varangians, while they are two different things (In case M&B designers really derived Vaegir from Varangian, I am impressed). Then I find your decision to base Swadia on England rather doubtful (although it's a matter of taste, of course). To me Swadians are indeed Germans (the very term Swadia sounds very Germanic and, I believe, is a direct reference to Schwaben). I am not sure about Rhodoks, they have always been a mystery to me, though given the original setting that states Rhodoks' "orthodoxy", yes, Byzantine sounds about right, though maybe it should also include more of Roman/Italian culture, maybe something Venetian and such... All in all, I'd suggest (in case you care to hear my opinion) to replace all the terms directly borrowed from the real world with something more abstract, or change them somehow, and to rework those that make no sense at all.
