Is there a place where you can see how many people you've killed and how many times you've died ever?

No global(see online stats) or local(see hard drive stats) = No stats.

Examples would be BF2(stats are online) and Call of Duty 4(stats are saved to your hard drive).

I think we'd all love to see an in-depth stat tracker implemented at some point.

I am unsure. Currently I have mixed feelings. Recorded stats does give some level of achievement. Negatively however, it leads to a large amount of stat whoring.

Yeah, I think it will lead to players playing more for points than team victory/fun.

As hinted, the .com move will probably facilite account management, and thus likely user and stats tracking.

hmm.. allthough stats would be cool, statwhoring can ruin a game.
IMO unless someone comes up with a very good system then stats should stay out.

the ONLY example of stats that work well (that i know of) is the TF2 stat system,  it has no global stat record, but instead it compares you to yourself- ie it will tell you when you get close to / beat your previus kill streak record for that class, or your record of objectives acheaved in one life.  - you can also compare yourself to peeps on your freinds list.
