SP - General Option to Select Captain Before Battle

I found it frustrating: I have 2 different clan members, one specialised in infantry another in archer but turned out the infantry guy leading archers and archer leading infantry instead.

Does that mean their captain skill no effect? I wish we can assign captain before battles.

And the problem goes beyond companions. If you lead an army with members from other clans, there is no way whatsoever to assign captain duties. It's all handled automatically, and it's a huge mess.

It would be nice to see a page like the roles screen but for captains where you can set who you want in the roles, A option on the pre fight screen would be nice for armies as well.

I think this was be included as part of their new 'order of battle' feature the have kept hinting at. Which I believe will introduce something along the lines of total war style regiments (with banners included); but we will have to wait and see.
