Sir Douglas Haig said:Karabiner 98k was used in the second World War, not in the Great War..Rigadoon said:K98az
The K98az was used since the beginning of the war by cavalry, artillery, pioneers, mortor transport units and some infantry units like the Jaeger battalions. This isn't very much a surprise since it was created in 1898 and approved in 1908 for use in support units. Later on, stormtroopers adopted it, realizing their value in close quarter combat. This practice started with Sturmbataillon Rohr in 1915, other stormtrooper units followed shortly afterwards.Sir Douglas Haig said:It was used in the late war, being more specific, 1918, but as the module will be placed in 1915-16 (or at least that's what I've read), that's invalid.Docm30 said:It clearly says in the post that it's a K98AZ, which was used in the First World War.

Sorry Rig, I was trying to spare you some frustration... it seems everyone is an amateur historian today.Rigadoon said:Sir Douglas Haig said:Karabiner 98k was used in the second World War, not in the Great War..Rigadoon said:K98az

Not even. An amateur historian would at least use google or some books(me ), he just decided to make up information.5arge said:Sorry Rig, I was trying to spare you some frustration... it seems everyone is an amateur historian today.Rigadoon said:Sir Douglas Haig said:Karabiner 98k was used in the second World War, not in the Great War..Rigadoon said:K98az

Let me guess... light machine guns weren't used until 1918?Sir Douglas Haig said:Right, a light machinegun..
Nevermind, I though that an useful advice could be taken into account.. it seems like I were wrong.

Wait what?!You can put the maps from the module in to NaS?If so MUHAHAHAHA!*forums a plan to kill lots of people in a event*Hinkel84 said:DanyEle said:pod455 said:When is the next "trench Battle" going to take place? I really enjoyed the North & South one
I'm organizing one for this wednesday. It's going to be similar to the last one i organized http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a1R2RPU9o8Y.
If you'r interested in joining the event, just send me a PM but there are still few slots remaning
Regiments/armies taking part in the event:
BI - 60 persone
RE - 35 persone
EAC - 30-40 persone
Ve - 20 persone
14e - 30 persone
JSC - 5 persone
1er Fus Gre - 11 persone
1° Bersaglieri - 5 persone
You are using North and South for the event right? The rifles should have pretty much the same accuracy.. and with the new fix/unfix bayonet feature we have, it should be pretty epic with charges
Beside that, with our new updater tool, we could include the ww1 maps with all ww1 props for that event pretty exclusive and pretty easily.
The whole atmoshphere should be lot better, then doing it with regular NW
That's right, the first effective light machineguns were used by the americans in the Meuse-Argonne offensive in 1918.5arge said:Let me guess... light machine guns weren't used until 1918?Sir Douglas Haig said:Right, a light machinegun..

Technicaly, it would be possible without any problems and would be a matter of minutes. That is why we invented the updater tool.
The other problem is: We need the OKAY of the IE mod team of course, to use their mapping module for the ww1 event and then we can easily patch it out again within seconds
@ MG
The machine guns look pretty awesome. Cant wait to get a textured version of them.
And you've managed to prove yourself stupider than the guy that makes up historical inaccuracies.LordAdder said:Good job historians, I just hope you are suffocated by your parents once they see what you have said.
