The most brutal siege ever seen. I knew how brutal it is to siege a Maccavian town, but about 1000 dead troops in total i9s very huge. I was a Reich vassal besieging Arendal.

We have just managed to get inside the wall with 2 times casualties of the Defender.

Finally cleared out the wall to move on.

It's most likely thanks to the help of Princess Brigit and her Dragon Priest that the Reich's army was able to successfully take Arendal from the Maccavia. It was a bloody battle.

Hey, guys! Just thought I'd share a little something with you. This is my champion, Gunther the Black, lord of Schmalkalden and vassal of Kaiser Otto IV and the Reich des Drachen:

Here he is pictured posing in Jelbegi Castle, his Winter home, with Skyfall, the legendary sword he took from Zeladeck the Chosen One after defeating him in battle. Note that he does not actually use Skyfall in combat, opting instead for a one-handed Masterwork Glamdring Sword and shield. Also not pictured are his black Perisno Helmet and his Plated Charger.

Good heavens, a frontal assault?  How shocking. 

I usually stage my army at a nearby castle, and go in first with a force nine parts archers, and sweep the walls clean.  Then I limp back with my wounded to the castle and return with my archer losses having been replaced by melee troops (the town will stay 'under siege' for a while, so nobody can supplant you will you do this).  Even in the second assault, I will hold my infantry back until my remaining archers expend all their arrows.  I like my soldiers too much to submit them to a meat grinder
