Before then (I'm aiming for the 1st of July), I'll need some beta testers who are well familiar with the inner workings of Native to quickly run through a campaign and alert me of balance issues or bugs. If you're interested, drop me a PM between now and then. I'll only be taking on a very limited number of reliable testers to keep things organised and dedicated, so don't feel rejected if you aren't chosen.
Between the 4th and the 19th of July I'll be abroad again, and it's likely I won't get any internet at all, even if I somehow avoid all the Somali pirates, Islamists and typhoid in the region. But once again, please do post in the relevant threads if bugs show up. I read every single post here and /mbg/ So don't feel like your concerns are going unheeded.
Anyway, here are some of the features you can expect in 2.0:
- A new story-based campaign where you begin as a Queen in a weak, decentralised realm.
- A re-overhauled morale system
- Underwear
- Mercenary parties, specialised regiments and bodyguard units available to hire from the settlements of certain factions (if you join or are allied to them)
- More map icons that change based on faction
- More companions
- A religious factor: build shrines in most settlements on the mainland to quell rebellions and maintain your reputation with the Monastic Order of Sengahid
- Religious wars: a spiritually ordained war may be called against a faction if it continually expands, has revolts, or destroys cities. By joining this war, a lord may get free volunteers fighting for their cause.
