But are you sure it wasn't the "Snake Cult Banisher" achievement that you got for getting +1 Ironflesh? Since these are the only random skill bonuses:
qstr__You_have_the_feelin| You have the feeling that someone or something is watching you. Your spotting skill has increased by 1.
qstr__You_suddenly_realiz| You suddenly realize that there is utter silence surrounding you. The lack of sound seems deafening. Your leadership skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__Suddenly_you_feel_u| Suddenly you feel unusually alert and the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end! Your training skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__As_if_in_a_daze_you| As if in a daze, you look around you with a sense of deja-vu, recalling a dream you once had of conversing with a woman who had long dark hair and almond eyes. The conversation was important, but try as you will, you cannot remember what was said. Your tactics skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__There_is_a_strangel| There is a strangely hypnotic melody playing in your mind. You cannot put your finger on where or when you heard it before, but it keeps playing over and over again and you can't get it out of your head. You have a feeling that if you could recall who had played it, the significance of the tune would be important. Your Engineering skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__You_were_idly_watch| You were idly watching cloud formations in the sky as you did when you were a child, seeing shapes and faces within the clouds. One form seemed to be that of a fleet horse archer racing across the sky. Suddenly, an arrow drives into the ground before you, seemingly shot from the archer in the sky. Your horse archery skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__In_the_sound_of_a_g| In the sound of a gusting wind you hear voices but cannot make out what they are saying. You strain to listen, but the voices fade away. You know they were trying to tell you something, but could not make out the message. Your prisoner management skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__As_you_travel_you_s| As you travel, you strain your eyes towards the distant horizon. Something is there; you can just make out far off movement but cannot see clearly. A misty form flashes briefly in front of the trees and is gone. Your weapons master skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__Last_night_you_drea| Last night you dreamed that you were riding a horse swifter than the wind, which never tired, though you rode for an eternity. You bent over his neck and his mane blew against your face. You recall the dream perfectly and wonder what it might portend. Your riding skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__Carried_by_the_wind| Carried by the wind, the sound of a cheerful tune played upon a Noldor flute reaches your ears, but there is no one visible. You know that if you could just find the musician, you would be enthralled utterly by the music. As you look about, the music ends. Your first aid skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__A_chill_runs_down_y| A chill runs down your spine and you shiver. Someone must be walking over your future grave. Your athletics skill has been increasd by 1.
qstr__You_have_the_oddest| You have the oddest feeling that something ghostly is behind you and keep looking over your shoulder. All you see is the men who follow you. A chill hand brushes your cheek. Your inventory management skill has been increased by 1.
qstr__As_you_travel_somet| As you travel, something flashes in the grass. You pick it up and see it is a curiously curved dagger of obviously ancient provenance. Your surgery skill has been increased by 1.
I'm sure, was really surprised myself. Just in case I'll keep an eye on this in the future and make a screenshot, until then I guess it's safer to count as my mistake or something.

With the "Dust of Twilight" (using a qualis gem to buff my companions), will it work on all companions? Or just those in my party at the time? Thanks.

Hey I'm currently at day 180, level 23, I'm running around with companions only, all enterprises purchased and 230k in bank as well as 715 renown and 15 honor.
I have 12 companions all equipped with winged maces, good shield, 50-55 body armor, 50+ head armor and Heavy Marleons highbreeds, they all have at least 18/18 STR/AGI except two who are at 15/15.
Vanskerries don't seem to earn me a lot of XP anymore, should I join faction fights or is it too early for the companions I have ? I thought about getting to 50 party size with Hero adventurers and top tier cavalry to hunt down 70-80 size armies of other lords.

Is starting factions war as a mercenary worth it now ? or grinding them on bandits a bit is a better option ?

I'd also like getting some QG, as I have taken the first 2 and would like to get more STR/AGI but I don't know if that can be done with 50 HA only.

Its always good to be a mercenary, as you have no full responsibilities but you're getting payed ~your troop wages, sometimes less sometimes even more.

Hehe, another one claiming to spend his first QGs in Strength, Agi, Charisma and Proficiencies. Its the best one by far, and later on, when its halved, its not worth at all 1 QG for 1 int point.

You can get more freely, just stay nearby an unique spawn when it spawns. If the kingdom they spawn in has no wars, its likely the marshal will go for him. Your other chance is to lure him to another unique spawn and join on the winning side, always pre-saving as he may escape and that really sucks.

Yeah I started being a mercenary and fought some lords, got to 50 party size with only elite cavalry and beating up to  100-120 size lords though xp seems pretty bad and I don't get much HA upgraded (currently 9), I think I'll disband anyone who can't be upgraded to HA in the end and fight smaller lords for now.

Big battles seem to be a waste though, I fought a 300 vs 280 battle and got pitifull amount of xp only upside was the 28k bounty of the king.

Btw, if I recall in native you would wait some time and the faction would send you a ransom for captured lords but I've tried to wait some time for several ransoms and they never sent it so I ransomed them manually, was that removed from PoP ?

HAs are pretty slow to train until you've got a bunch of high-level trainers. Hiring Sir Jocelyn or Sir Alistair into your party will help. In the meantime, you just have to throw them into battle and hope they survive long enough to upgrade.

It still works but it can take a while. I think its mostly random but may be influenced by how important the lord is.

What lords are the best to make them switch culture? (im only counting pendor culture here) , or which lords do you usually force to do it?? I know those who have households keep them, but never put much thoughts on it.

So I started a war with Sarleon, I captured Avendor and got Amere*(I put Azgad...) with it, but I couldn't hire noblemen, recruits, nothing. What is wrong here? I never sent a recruiter to get Pendor recruits from surrounding villages...

Also I still get Sarleon recruits even after 7 game days of waiting before I tried once more. Yes I chose the Old Kings of Pendor option upon speaking with my minister. Can somebody help me out here?
