In the Multiplayer games, after you select a different armored variation for your unit, the change in armor is visible in the middle of the screen, under the player character's picture. You can currently look at the change in horse armor and hp, but it takes time, and it is an unnecessarily ardous process, where you read, memorize and compare two different stats.
My suggestions is to view the change in horse armor and health if you choose a different mount and different armor for your mount. For intance if I choose a charger horse, what is the different hp for this one and armor.
