Great mod,  but this is not playable right now, too many things like this. I have 5 different saves but forgot to save after a 5 hour session. You can't save every 10 minutes.

Haven't seen this happen. What can I say except - save more often, 5 hours is a huge risk

Pls save often and to multiple slots. I can't make the mod bug free.
You should be able to travel to your ship and embark.

The mod IS playable right now, I've playing it a week with lots of issues, of course, but the solution is reporting to get them tweaked. I have plenty of bugs but none of them game-breaking, so I'd encourage you to play a bit more 

Though as said in another place, I'd prefer to see more little patches solving the numerous issues reported and detected, rather than waiting months to get another version with many new features and many new bugs too... Please Quintilius think about it

No, not really. Now don't take it personally  I'm just sad when something like this happens absolutely randomly. Now I can't reproduce it. It's just strange.

Oh it's only a suggestion, that solving little bugs in a bunch and release the patch I think it's easier for you and more pleasant for players than waiting for all of them get solved much later but with new features

I use "realistic" mode for the sake of autosaves, and just back up my saves. Otherwise I just forget to save.

Don't you get a black window with two choices? Embarking or visiting settlement?

Use savegame editor, change settlement's "party" coordinates to something else, embark and move, edit again to restore intended settlement's coordinates.

Game already restarted.

I clicked the village while sailing and it the embarking option came up as usual, but then it took me to the village options screen, oh well. New game started.
