In Progress change clan leader with cheat mode issue

Summary: I tried to change the leader of my clan with the "campaign. change_clan_leader" command in the game. After typing it the active character on the map changed but if I had a conversation with others or got into a battle the person who talked and led the troop was still the former leader. Is this just a fuction being worked in progress?
