Tried with both brutality mode and without, new game for both ways. Same results on both. Is it possible something got borked in the coding to basically toggle that function on for me? I language switch pretty often, so it's possible that was screwing with something.

So if neither of those work, there's no way around it? I never have the textures set to load on demand, unless there's an option somewhere else in the text files, not just the loader, and the textures remain the same regardless of where I put the slider, so far as I can tell. Tried all of the way to both extremes on top of my usual setting around 3/4s.
 
If you can't become a merc/vassal even after restarting from scratch, then something is probably broken. Try re-downloading and reinstalling the mod, otherwise I'm afraid I'm at a loss how to help here. :neutral:

Maybe that even helps with textures as well.

What kind of computer do you have and what does your rgl_log.txt file say? It should be in your Warband installation folder. If you can PM it to me, maybe I'll be able to find something that might be at fault here.
 
Computer is a bit of an abomination at this point. Started out as an HP p7-1158. Running with 12gb of RAM, a MSI 660ti graphics cared, AMD A8 processor. Shouldn't have any problems running the game at this point, even beyond the maximum graphics settings.

Tried redownloading, same results. It's hit and miss for me when it comes to downloading stuff, though, since my connection is crap, so I might still be getting problems. Any chance someone could host up a torrent version for me? Might work better, with an intermittent connection like mine.

Connection shouldn't be a factor - both installer and game archive have integrity checks, so generally if something breaks during download, you simply can't install.

As it is, your situation looks more similar to a broken savegame compatibility situation, which would be possible if you started your game at an old enough version and then updated to last patch. But the last time savegame compat was broken was months ago.

Do you experience the same problems if you start a new game, create all-noble char, get your banner from the start of the game, immediately head to the nearest king and offer your sword?

As for graphics, well, I'm officially stumped. Well, I only cleared the biggest resource hogs in NE resources in current official release, but the graphical resources in general are still more than a bit messy, so there's a distinct possibility of an incompatibilities arising in the triangle of old Warband's engine + specific graphic card + mesh & texture mess. But if it is indeed something unique like that then I'll only be able to advise you to wait until upcoming development release.

Have you experienced anything similar with other graphics-heavy mods?
 
I just downloaded and installed the latest version of this mod on a fresh installation of Warband.

- I was looking at the Rhodoks in the cool in-game troop tree and I noticed that the Rhodok Skirmisher, Rhodok Scout, and Rhodok Veteran Scout are equipped with swords, but they have Polearms skill. The Veteran Scout has about a 50/50 chance of having a polearm, but the Skirmisher and Scout have a 0% chance of having a polearm. The Rhodok Noble Troop Tree has the same problem. The Rhodok Spear Horseman takes the cake, with a 100% chance of spawning with a sword ("spear" horseman...), but having Polearm weapon skill.

- The Vaegir Footman and Sergeant have this problem to a smaller degree. The Vaegir Noble tree appears fine.

- The Khergit tree has a number of troops with this problem. The Khergit Rider, Horse Archer, Veteran Horse Archer, and Master Horse Archer are lacking Polearm skill even though they have polearms on their equipment list. The Khergit Kharash Scout, Kharash Rider, and Kharash Clansman are lacking Swork skill even though they have swords on their equipment lists. Ditto on the Khergit Noble tree.
 
Might be a little problem, but when you start a battle in the latest dev version: You'll get notified that you're defeated (But your character is still alive) and you lose control of your character. It seems to happen with the field battles but not in tournaments. Playing 1.166 steam version and Native Expansion v0.620dev with no brutality and with DK on

I haven't encountered this bug. Non-steam version here.

Get the 0.620dev patch, it fixes the issue. You will have to start a new game.
 
Sarranid noble tree is problematic. The final upgrade in both units is equipped with basic weapons and armor (or is it just the tech tree display which is bugged?). I am scared to upgrade my nobles out of fear of crippling them.
 
This is one of the issues that's been fixed in development version, you can install it if you wish. You'll have to start a new game though.
 
Strange Rename Bug

Version: 610b3 (Latest Native Expansion [BETA] w/ patch)
Version Notes: This bug did not occur until I copied the latest patch files into M&B Native Expansion module directory
Bug Report: When vassals are converted to player faction, they are renamed strange names such as ". >" or "/ ?". This has happened with the last 3 vassals I've recruited, since I added the last patch.
No other mods installed on top of Native Expansion nor any strange configurations.

Note that I've recruited Magistros Urumudu pre-patch, and the remaining 3 post-patch.

I suspect this is a syntax error somewhere in the code, but in case it is difficult to fix, a possible "quick-fix" to this could be the ability to rename vassals of the player-kingdom. The main issue is not being able to differentiate vassals when awarding fiefs.

Please check the following:

1. Go to Camp -> Settings screen and play with custom titles setting. All your kingdom nobles should be renamed when you change it, so take note if they're renamed correctly or not.
2. If (and only if) they're being renamed incorrectly (with some specific title set or with all of them), try reinstalling NE from scratch, making sure you overwrite everything when you install the patch.
 
LAV! swadians still have no agility xD Swadian Infantry, seargants and Pikemans have 0 agility! ;( Pls fix it. It breaks my heart ;( [in the dev snapshot] btw GOOD job anyway - swad knights now have REALLY knight shields ;3 (but imho better looking are the darkknights-style lances)
