Summary:
I don't know if this is a bug, but this quest seems unlikely to be completed from the village of Alatys.
I accepted a quest from someone in the village of Alatys to kill or capture 8 groups of bandits. I patrolled around the area and even went as far as the next town, but I could not find any bandits. There is a bandit hideout near the village of Alatys. I waited next to the hideout for 3 nights, but no bandits spawned. All in all, I looked around for 5 nights, and not a single bandit group spawned.
If there are no bandits, then why would that person need help. If there is a hideout, why don't the bandits spawn from there? If there is a random chance that bandits will spawn at the hideout, then perhaps the chance for this to happen is set too low. Could it be set higher during the quest and then reset to normal after the quest?
I accepted this quest in other villages in the middle of the map, but there were enough bandits that spawn from other regions that drift into the area. Alatys is a problem, because it is far from other regions, so bandits cannot easily drift in. Perhaps, players should NEVER accept this sort of quest from Alatys.
How to Reproduce: I have no idea how.
