That's assuming TW was even competent enough to have this 6+month long patch completed to even pull a simple marketing move like this. Also, doesn't work for a game that's already 'officially' released 1.5 years ago.
And even if they get something ready, this will be in steam beta instead of instant release, and every mod will be broken anyway so it's literally impossible for TW's vanilla 1.3 to surpass modded 1.2.9
We are getting some solid stuff this year, like another medieval game published by Hooded Horse, and also KCD 2, so yeah the competition has started to catch up.

Yep, beta if even, with a 'hot'fix month+ later to address the new crashes it introduces. Mods break, none of the loud issues addressed or touched upon, console players come back here to ask for update. Finally goes live end of the year without a single adjustment from the 1.3 beta changes (and the issues that will come with it).
