Resolved Battle orders not working right

You can assign companions and captains as normal in battle orders. however if you make your own army then you can only assign yourself and no one else to any positions. It feels like the new battle orders isn't being applied when in an army.
 
We were not able to reproduce this issue on the latest internal version. Could you send us your save file where you experience this issue?
Do you have a save file of the session that you experienced this issue? With your save file, we can reproduce the issue much easier and faster. You can find your save file here: "C:\Users\username\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord\Game Saves"

Think this is related to what I experience with 1.1 atm.

Doing fights like "Caravan Ambush", or help some random caravan, or other party/army etc. The game will skip "pre-battle" formations. And disregard positions of captains,banners, and formations where you moved your companions to etc.

Best way to really test this is to accept a caravan ambush quest.

your kidding, ok sent a save file called battletest.sav . Its this simple, if you assist the AI in a battle you get no battle orders screen, you get no renown or influence gain for the battle. The save I sent, i am standing next to a battle just join and look at influence and renown before battle and see you get none. cmon guys do you need me to send video also of it.
 
The issue is really annoying as you enter battles in many situations with no pre set formations and just have infantry, archers and cav.

Or get one of your testers to do the "caravan ambush" quest. You get thrown into the fight with no pre-battle orders.. (or any other fight that you don't start but join in on...)
 
It should be pushed with 1.2.0. Forwarding.

I started a new campaign on 1.2 and any quest or encounter that make me 3rd party a fight so far. (escort caravan and caravan ambush)Have just thrown me into the fight without any regard of formations, captains and banners I had set.
 
Trying out 1.2 also. I am tier 2 assulted a force twice my size. Got backup from 1 other party and and army in buildning. And i got to place my captains. Nice!

But not with carvan quest. My spicevendor on horse and sword and shield got place with archers. Got 140 or so in crossbow. But still mounted.

The issue arise when you are not the one that initiate the fight, but you are 3rd party joining the fight.
 
I've been informed that this is intended.

Why? What is the reason?

1. Formations you have created and used prior doesn't matter. You end up with 3 basic formations with units mashed up.
2. banners and captains doesn't matter because they are not assigned correctly to formations.

If we get rushed into a battle with formations we used before without any pre-battle setup, that would be fair IF we actually get pushed into battle in previous used setup. I don't want to get rushed into fights with horse archers and cav in same formation. I don't want to get rushed into fights with companions on horses stuck in a infantry formation. Or have ranged units mixed with infantry.

What is the purpose of have formations, captains and banners in the game when you can't make use of them a large part of the game?

This woirked perfectly fine before

@Duh_TaleWorlds was looking into this but so far didn't come back with any. Is this a case of one hand doesn't know what the other does?

I had the illusion of this would be fixed with 1.2 but this just *sadface panda*
