The grandfather of my grandmother (what does that make him lol) was living in prussia (such as my grandmother was once) and he was a hussar in the prussian army.
My grandmother was born in 1923 so her grandfather probably didn't fight in the napoleonic wars.
Interesting to think about this stuff though.
