Big Units Thursday Linebattle Event
We all play NW for the napoleonic atmosphere with muskets and bayonets. To maximize this feel the 91st and 15e are jointly presenting the big units linebattle event. The idea of the event is instead of bringing 20 regiments per side with 5 man lines we will only bring 2-3 units containing between 30 and 45 players to give a sense of epic scale for the participants. This event is also hosted with a high expectation of teamwork and individual player skill from the participants to create close run battles of both mind, shot and bayonet. Due to these rather severe criteria placed on attending regiments; participation will be strictly by invitation.
The core participants of this event will consist of the 15e, 63e and 91st, in the events we have already run of this format these regiments have had the chemistry together to create an atmosphere of mutual respect and enjoyment creating some of the most enjoyable events on this side of MM. The exact unit composition may vary from week to week based on other invited regiments, but between these regiments any combination of big line, medium line and skirmisher unit is possible to create a flexible core that can add unique twists to the linebattle from week to week.
Two units charging eachother on the 16th of August
The 91st Custom Map Sunday Event
Random plains is usually false advertising, it is hardly random when the map always turns out to be a different part of the Alps, nor is it of course plains. To battle this and add and extra layer of fun the 91st are presenting the Custom Map Sunday event. Custom maps are the future for interesting linebattle events, random map generators can only go so far when it comes to creating an interesting and balanced terrain experience. The talanted mapping team of the 91st create maps that have terrain that impacts gameplay in meaningful, innovative and interesting ways. Since the mapping team play on the maps they also understand to design primarily with gameplay in mind, it also means that feedback will be instant and with time the maps can only further improve from their already very good state!
Rules
The rules of these events are fairly straightforward since we are of the opinion that rules should help create a more immersive, interesting gaming experience, not detract from it by being to restrictive forcing everyone into playing in one way alone.
§1 Do not rambo
§1.1 Use proper formations for your designated role
§2 Do not crouch when engaged in combat
§3 Charge from reasonable distances
§3.1 Distance is measured between the two closest points of a unit
§4 Do not intentionally target officers
§5 Behave properly
§6 Organizers can enact anything not specifically mentioned at their discretion

15e Régiment d'Infantrie Légère
