So use this http://www.000webhost.com/ as the host for my forum. Then a few days ago i got this email>

I am not sure what to do now, because the free hosting was the the reason i got the service in the first place 
Should i be worried? (My forum is still up and running so....)

Does anybody else have this problem?

yes i know buying your domain is the best way to go, but for people like me that is not a option. If anyone is looking for a free domain 000webhost is NOT what you are looking for.

I tried talking with them, but i just get crap for upgrading then my forum will work again. But my forum has not stopped working yet so I am confused.

That sounds like the well-used internet trick for making fools part with their money: scare 'em so they'll pay. Give them bad news, and watch them shell out cash to get the bearer of that bad news to fix it. Think of those adds that say **** like "your computer has a problem, click here to fix it".

In my opinion, just be glad you didn't fall for it, and take your business somewhere better.

Well I simply don't have enough money lying around to pay for a domain so yeah

I was wondering if there is a "Truly" free hosting service around or would I have to pay to get a decent one.

Don't know if it's truly free either but from what I've heard there hasn't been any problems and ours has been up for quite some time now. Nobody uses them though

Interesting that you should suggest that forum since it's one I already tried (I have tried at least 4-5)

I just didn't like the limited options, ads, and it wasn't as fast as I'd have liked it to be. Here is what ive used so far> (Finally settling with SMF but a crappy domain haha)
