I didn't want to start a new thread for the same issue, so here is another graphical problem with polearms:

I am holding a Balanced Knight Lance in the screenshot (not crafted, gained as loot) and there is a visible gap between the tip and the shaft (it is easier to see from above). I also bought a Long Fine Steel Spear which has the same issue (easier to see if you hold the camera up)

Thanks, it seems it only happens with parties that have exclusively Hillmen members, Brigands and mounted bandits do not miss the text.

I find it boring to be a leader and watch the battle on a hill, that's why I max out fighting attributes and skills too. But there are some really good perks in other perk trees as well.

For Example:

Max medicine (330) gives your troops +65 hp, which turns them into super soldiers.
Max leadership gives all the parties in your clan +80 party size.

For the empire I would keep the cataphract because otherwise they don't have any other cavalry. All the other suggestions seem fine tho.

They are not much of use without a shield anyway, but I agree they should have some melee cavalry.

Hehe entirely possible. Unfortunately the devs try to mimic real life cultures too much, that's why we have Welsh longbowmen and Byzantine Cataphracts in this game.

This forum needs some positivity, let's add more things we like about the game. I like the fact that characters shut the left eye while aiming with the bow.

I was waiting for this patch to start a new game, the list of changes and additions looks good.

Here we go:

-The ability to actually join in an ongoing battle, when you help a party (instead of starting at the edge of the map with allies)
-Unique perks for different lords
-Unique perks for different companions
-Player perks without useless governor skills
-Ability to join and lead criminal parties (ability to use hideouts as bases)
-Civil Wars (especially after a succession)
-Invading Factions (Like Nords in Sturgia)

I also play with manual block enabled. Besides auto block leaves your head open to ranged attacks.

Hold down é key (the one before the number keys) while rotating, that stops your character moving.

Check merchants it should spawn, but it can take a while. Your best bet is marrying a noble (like Phaea) and getting her armor.

I wish they would add unique skill trees for each race (not limiting options but buffing certain skills, like archery for Battanians etc) and get rid of the governor skills for the player. For the companions two type of skill trees, melee/ranged fighter and governor/trader. And unique skill trees for indivual lords which would make some of them more desirable for our future kingdom.

Nice to see other fellow infantrymen here, I also play almost exclusively on foot.
