If you're using any program with layers (paint.NET, the GIMP, Photoshop, etc.) you can set the layer type to "multiply" or "daren" or something like that and it will show what's underneath (i.e. the creases).
By reading through the thread. I know I've posted it at least three times in this thread after getting it from somewhere in the middle. I posted one a few pages back.
we had one in the 1700's, then some Grandfather (who i cant be arsed to list) blew all the money then met the stevenson family, which is nice (yes the locomotive guy)
hello everyone, im new to the moding community, and the one thing after playing mount&blade so long i been really wanting is a Custom Coat of arms to go on my banner/flag/surcoat/horse barding
now i would ask if someone could help me achive this, but id rather learn to do it on my own. however ive never attempted something like this. is there a tutorial to learn how to do this? i do have some knowledge with photoshop, and got as far as opening the .dds file.
currently im playing Lords and realms. any accumulated information or tutorial would be very helpful!!

Open up Photoshop

Download and open up this:

Find the image you want and copy it onto the above image

Manipulate as needed to get the desired effect (I normally use either multply or darken for layer style

Open up one of the banners_*.dds files

Copy the new banner into this file over one of the preexisting banners

Save the new file (make a backup first

Play the game with your new banner
@Kalnia:
1) Get a free program like paint.NET
2) Open any of the banners files found in your "Mount&Blade\Textures\" folder
3) Copy the banner you want in game over one of the banners that you want to replace
4) Save the new banners file over the old one, but make sure to make a backup in case you want to change back.
I had to recreate them since I forgot to save the .psd file, so they might be a little different. This time I saved them so iif you want any more changes just let me know, though now I'm going to sleep since it's a little after 2 AM here.
