Having read the screen shots it dissapoints me to think that someone could be so blatently rude and agressive to another person given that they were donating their efforts and time in assisting in something because they chose to and not because they needed to.

The threats of slandering Ryan's business and also threats of using firends/contacts who happen to be moderators/admins on Taleworlds to ban ryan for exposing this in order to defend against the proposed slander is very immature and not needed.

I can see why Ryan has been forced to put forward these screen shots. 

As someone who is heavily involved in Mount & Blade and has been hosting and administrating mods and events for over 2 years in Australia, given the context of this material I can say that www.LoungeChairCarnage.com.au (Australia & New Zealand) will never support anything Austro ever creates in the future.

I have seen Ryan's new scene and Matts mod/scripting work and both are amazing.

I would just like to say good luck with the server Desty, and from the official Aussie_Persistent_RP perspective you are entitled to place up a server and we will have no ill feelings about this and will ensure we do not run down your server publicly, or advertise on your server. 
Understand however in the past in Australia multiple PW4 servers have not been able to be sustained running simultaneously due to the naturally low population of Australian Mount & Bladers, and it unfortunately has always resulted in only one server remaining.
If we can coexist and continue to both host I think this would be fantastic and possibly positive things can come of it for Persistent World players in our region.  And I would just also like to talk to supporters, admins and players who use Aussie_Persistent_RP  and urge you all to understand that bickering and drama is not something that is required or needed, and we urge you all to just enjoy what ever server you wish to play on and make the most of the gaming experiences and stay out of issues that don't need to occur.

I bought this game a week ago, as many of my clan mates had it and were raving about it.  I first joined a server and with a little friendly guidance from mates got the hang of what was going on in game, and the basics of fighting.  I've played in many servers, in various game modes and I've participated in a line battle.

In servers I saw the comments that were flying around, I saw admins abusing players, other players saying the most offensive things without any admin taking action, and I have seen Admins abusing their privileges to suit themselves.  Other servers report "We do not ban for anything on this server" - that is a path that leads to failure.

I read much of the post about the crap between the "Official" and other servers; what a load of BS, and from someone new to the community, I'm pretty disappointed in the garbage that goes on.

Now, don't get offended, but it appears to me that the age group 7 - 13 is over represented in this community; I say that because that is the way many of the players carry on.  Immature, stupid crap, offensive comments, gutter abuse and no concept of anything related to good order, or organsation.  It seems a great community with great potential was put into the hands of 12 year olds who were then left to their own devices.

There also seems to be this stupid pissing competition between groups for 'control', of what I have no idea.  Why don't the various units agree to remain independant of each other, run your OWN servers and ignore these clowns that are screwing everything up for everyone else?  Sure have a central community based forum where you can organise line battles etc, but there should be agreement that ALL units play a part in operating the community.  Draft a common set of values based on respect and honour and ensure a rule set along those lines is established and enforced.

Agree or not I don't care, this is only my perspective of having played quite a bit for a week on various servers.  There appears to be a rogue element of immature little brats that has far too much say in what the community values are and far too much control.  Place the community into the hands of responsible ADULTS and watch it grow; leave it as it and you'll have little more than a mere shadow of what it could be.

Hi Valour, I dont beleive we have met before.  I assist in giving LoungeChairCarnage direction, and as NW official is part of our community I would like to just talk briefly about some of the things you are feeling and have seen (most likely not on our servers).  On our official NW server Official_Aus_1, if there are admins as you are stating abusing players this is something we are not currently aware of and do not tolerate, now I am not sure if you were referencing our servers in regards to this as it wasnt a specific statement or very clear but if you are witness to this we would like to be fully aware of this.  You can contact us on on the community forum www.LoungeChairCarnage.com.au or speak to one of the Administrators for any servers we run on Team Speak 3 lccts.com.au:10097.

Further more in regards to the comments about LCC and the guys who run servers called ANH.  I would like to say although there may be elements of individuals who have issues for their own reasons with this group and happen to utilise our hub or play on our servers, from the leadership perspective of LCC there is no "LCC vs ANH" and we just wish to run quality servers for people who enjoy them and wish to play on them.  If players new or old have issues with how our community is run or have suggestions and feedback for constructive feedback that could lead to improvements then this is encouraged and I would like to refer yourself and any otehrs to LoungeChairCarnage.com.au.

I am sorry to see you feel this way about the game and how you beleive it is run on servers in our region but I am sure by discussing this via the right channels a positive outcome can be achieved.

LoungeChairCarnage.com.au is a community that has and does welcome all who wish to particpate and share in the games we enjoy.  You have options to offer suggestions feed back and communicate your thoughts on our forum so that we can all take this into consideration and look at potentially strenghtening what we have as a community and moving forward in a manner that positively enhances the gaming and supporting structures for all to benefit.

We have a large hub that does have server support from an Austrlaian hosting company that  enables us to host anything the region needs with Mount & Blade and within the genre.  We do not discriminate, and welcome all support, opinions and assistance.  If you would prefer not to contribute to this, please feel free to do your own thing and independently run servers as you wish.  We are not and never will be about actively attempting to control the region but will be about attempting to positively expand into areas that add a new level to the gaming experience for others. 

Threads like this are great for people who wish to utilise it as a place to slander and run down others and groups, but I do see a positive side to what we do have presented here.  There seems to be a lot of feelings of contempt and personalised grudges but I would like to ensure that even if people choose to behave and feel like this, it should not effect the choices gamers have in this country with accessibility to servers and large hub access run for the gaming communities by those who choose to contribute and participate.  Many people utilise our hub yet claim they do not like the community, if you utilise our hub, you are in the community and we welcome you sharing with us,  and awalys will. 

I would like to clear something up.
The statement that I made on LoungeChairCarnage.com.au within the last week referring to banning anyone who supports ANH was made purely as a last resort to shelter our membership due to the enormity of abuse, harassment, linking of illegal ponrographic imagery, accusations of acts pedophilia whilst broadcasting of real life names of community members on some Australian servers, oraganised attacks by multiple ANH admins/members creating accounts on LoungeChairCarnage.com.au on Ts3 lccts.com.au:10097 & ts.glogaming.com.au:9995 to display inapropriate material such as graphic homosexual pornography, personal attacks of members, advertising alternative community repeatedly whilst bypassing bans in order to create repeated aco****s.  Our site registration access was shut down over a 16 hour period in order to protect our community member base as confirmed members and admins of ANH carried out an organised attack with the above material displayed on our community hub.  This was an escalation of the material that was already periodically displayed over the 6 month period.  We are fundamentally about gaming but have a responsibility to our community base to ensure they are not harmed and to minimise negative outcomes due to the actions of others.

Due to the illegal aspect of many of the actions and supply of materials carried out on gaming servers, community hub, steam and community supported Team speak 3 servers the stance of blocking by ascociation was placed up as a last resort of protection as this is no longer about gaming it is about sheltering participants in a gaming community from malicious attacks presented by a group, keeping in mind many of which have authority such as administrator privalages on ANH.  Therefore by attempting to remove the threat completely it was aimed at protecting and minimising exposure of this material to the average gamer, many of which are children under the age of 16.  Keeping this in mind it is duty of care and a repsonsibility for the site, server and team speak 3 base manager to ensure that it is a safe environment for the users of this.  As many of the attacks were organised, acknowleged and perpetrated by people with privalages in another community with ownership and status given to those who exhibited this behaviour and material it was only fitting that the group should be limited access to protect the clientelle and minimise risk. 

The statement of banning anyone who supported ANH was made as a last effort to prevent the above from occuring.  ALthough this statement was made I do want it clear that we have continued to only deal with individuals and no one has been blanket banned for affiliation since this announcement, and this has not been enforced intentionally as this is not the essence of what gaming is about and we are true gamers at heart.  The average player base of ANH has not been blanket banned from our servers, site or team speak 3 and never will be.  Only individuals who have carried out abuse, advertising, illegal acts, linking adult material such as pornography, repeated server breaches, broadcasted personal information have been permantently banned and assessed as individuals.  Other players have been banned for server breaches like any standard player would and the processes have been followed.  In the past regiment groups were removed from access as a large proprotion of members were involved in repreated offences on site, servers and team speak 3 with the leadership not accepting that the players should be banned and contesting. 

LoungeChairCarnage does not support banning players for politically motivated reasons but to protect and maintain the servers and hub to a level that is apropriate for all ages whilst sheltering the player base from illegal acts and over the top personal abuse as well as of course functional activities from players harming the gaming experience of others.  I am happy to supply Vince with screen shots of all of the above evidenced material and have it linked to the individuals involved as we have had to already follow a reporting, evidence gathering process and collection of data in order to protect our community base.  We do not want tot have to do this, and we do wish it was needed or necesary.  The statement was made in desperation to have community attacks from established members of another community cease.  People who supported a community that actively attack another as a group as you will see in this thread should not need to participate in a community that they do not support, hence why the statement was made. 

I will place emphasis on the fact that although this statement was made that it was not acted upon and it was hoped that it would not have to be.  We want people to be able to use our site contribute to our community and enjoy the servers we support.  We do not want rifts in Australia for gaming in this genre and hope to assist in providing events, tournaments and a hub that caters for all who wish to use it in an appropriate way that does not impact negatively on others or the law of our region.  If people wish to provide their own servers with no connection they may do so you will not see us bickering or attacking this group as we are about gaming and providing something for others not about fighting for territory for the sake of it.

We do not see ourselves as rivals to the group that refer themselves to ANH and I believe the only mediation that is required is that the abuse, posting of inapropriate material and attacks of community memebers ceases.  This is due to many of the individuals who have recieved bans for inapropriate activities (that anyone else would recieve a ban for) happen to be admins of the ANH servers and community Ts3.  We are not here to run down the name of others and the material that we have had to deal with for community member protection is only removed as a last resort. 

This thread does however highlight the malicious presentation and culture of an alaternative source of servers from an Australian community.  A few memebrs of LCC have commented here and they would feel there is an injustice occuring as far the presented material being subjective slander posted forward by people who must want a rift in Australian gaming.  We do not want a rift but unfortunately with the choices and actions of others it was chosen to make a statement that did highlight that we are no longer going to accept attacks from an identifiable group that do not wish to partiicpate in our community but utilise it to cause problems thorugh their uneeded and unwanted actions. 

LoungeChairCarnage.com.au has over 1000 registered members listed.  Although a statement was made to regulate access from an identified source contriubuting to legitimate management responses we did not act this out and we were hoping we would not need to.  Having read some of the material in this thread I would just like to highlight that we do not force people to acccess our supported servers, events, our online gaming hub or our supported Team speak 3 and clan communities.  If you do not like how you believe things are handled or you do not like the rules presented by our community you do not need to access or seek out access to our supported infrastructure.  We are not the only server hoster in Australia for Napoleonic Wars or Mount & Blade, and we do not seek out to be, it is just that we were the first to create a Mount & Blade specific Australian fan based hub and we have been succesful in doing so.  If people do not like it please be our guest to not participate and find something you personally do enjoy. 

We respect others and wish others to respect our members and get on with the fundamentals such as gaming.  I am more than happy to retract the statement for a blanket banning if the open abuse by officials from the guys who state they are ANH community ceases.  On our site www.LoungeChairCarnage.com.au we have not blanket banned any group from access.  Only individuals have recieved bans in response to extremely inapropriate material or a systematic repsonse to previous warning and a cycle without ceasing activity.  We are an open community that wish to provide people with somehting in our region for the genre we support.  As LoungechairCarnage are not particpating in abuse or public open source slander on taleworlds I do not see how a mediation will be effective when what needs to occur is that ANH if they dont want to be percieved as being involved in harassment or online provaction could just ask their memebrs not to participate in this kind of behaviour.  This is not a mutual dislike for another community from the LoungeChairCarnage.com.au community but a response to actions resulting in an action being held up as a potential for it to occur. 

We are not involved in bickering, we do not actively pursue arguments.  We are a community that is there to support Australasian gamers in this genre.  If you have issues with us, and you wish to participate but would like to see change in how our community is managed please by all means discuss and post suggestions on www.LoungeChairCarnage.com.au as we are here to assist people in gaining something extra and with our support from a large portion of Austrlaias Mount & Bladers we can and do make this happen to the best of our ability.

Artists and creators whether they want it or not, deserve to make money from the effort and time they put into their creations.  I agree that for a mod the general notion behind making it is to give people something, but for a game to get up to the level of DLC there should be some financial support or benefit to the developer due to the shear man power and time it takes to produce something like this.  Some mod makers put their general life on hold in order to put effort into their creation.  Why should they be at a loss so that people can play for free whilst the creator gets nothing other than feeling satisfied they helped out others enjoy something they put time effort and tears into.

Exactly.  The mod is not finished and it continues to be worked on.  What you have said Serann is exactly what I am meaning, it would no longer be a mod but something to a higher quality resulting in a significantly larger player base due ot the higher quality and refinement of the product.  To do this more man hours would have to go in to the point people multiple people up to a large team would be treating this like their full time employment.  So to do this they would have to recieve some monetary benefit and reward in order to want to do it in the first place or need to.  It wouldnt be a mod it would be a game.  I apologise if I caused any confusion and I am speaking of only what I would like to see as I love this mod and want it to rise to greater heights and as I have enjoyed this so much I would love Vornne, Laszlo and anyone else who has contributed to this over its time to recieve some rewards and of course anyone who works on it in the future.  It would just be fantastic to see this up to the level of a stand alone or at the least a DLC for Warband.  People could still play the mod, but to have that refined improved high quality option, that would be nice as well.

This mod is not finished, and I always look forward to seeing the updates and enjoying the game, as with the updates comes new players and old players returning to active servers and communities.  This mod is a master piece and with good server administration works amazingly.  The finished product of this mod could definately be a DLC and should be in my opinion.  WIth using Vornnes mod as a template and bringing him into leading a professional team Tale Worlds could create a master piece that surpasses everything it has already done.  Why can't this be done?  It can and in my opinion should!.

If you cant afford the cost of a Mount & Blade DLC, you need to stop reading this and turn your pc off as you shoudlnt be able to afford to run the electricity to use it .  It is great that people spend their times making mods out of the goodness of their hearts and of course they have a drive to give to others but enjoy the challenge by expressing their expertise and creativity.  Having said this, I would love creators like Vorne to be able to legitimately make a profit for their hard effort and legitamise their work.  As others have said you only have to look at the conversion from Mount & Musket to Napoleonic wars.  In Australia the population went from 30-40 in a server for events to filling 200 slot servers for events.  The community population in Australia due to the release of NW has gone 10 fold from what it was.  I imagine this has occured world wide given teh quantity of the servers I see listed.  When a DLC is made it expands Mount & Blade and given that many gamer magazines and youtube channel gaming hosters like "Angry Joe" pick up on the games and expose it to thousands of consumers.  Mount & Blade titles are very affordable and the DLCs are even more so.  For this to go DLC means a lot more work would have to go into it but I believe it is worth it for the developer "Vornne" and anyone who would join his team.  The effort needed to produce it would would surely be worth its while for the developers and the thousands of new players to Mount & Blade that would BUY and play it.

These new textures look fantastic Austro, thank you very much for sharing these with us.  I love this mod, and believe it has potential to develop into a stand alone or a DLC at the least!  Thanks Vorne for your hard work and effort.

I believe a lot of guys like the King Xerxes .  Osama made the map based on the Battle of Thermopylae (movie 300 based loosley on this) we adapted it to a group of hardened warriors 20 vs at one stage 67 and it was still competive in periods due to the armour and training it was sergents against footmen with the "spartans" wearing hiraldic plate which is not obviously historical but we were after the theory behind it whislt using hte mod as in a large group vs a small group in the setting of a deep narrow revine "Hot Gates".  The Persians were led by King Xerxes and the Spartans Leonidas.  The map consists of 3 capturable flag points where the spartans must hold each section up to two times before they press forward or or lose before they get pushed back.  If the persians lose two battles in a row Xerxes releases his elite forces the Immortals at this stage we changed ratios as it was second reset where we gave guys who were spartans a chance to be persians and vice versa 1/5 of the persian army 10 warriors became Immortals  and to choose which players the top 10 players with kills were selected. 

In the event we had two members of each admin team in the channels of the players to give them directions and communicate what was occuring whilst communicating with admins running main face of event with global messages when needed.  Admins in factions were voted lord to use global faction to ensure some players not in ts3 were still aware.  Most players used the Team speak 3 though.

We had 95 players in this weeks event the Hot Gates!! I think so far the max we have had at our event was 104 but I think the players would apreciate it more if we could increase it!.  By teh way I want to thank Aldric for inspiring us to pursue events like this in Australia it has been very rewarding and although some maps can take longer to organise in between phases generally thats only common negative feedback we have heard so far.  If anyone ever has time to come and particpate (Australia & New Zealand if not there ping may be too excessive to enjoy) or see our events they are on Sunday Australian EST 3:30 pm.
