for some unknown reason, the Bannerlord modding tools refuse to launch. it just says I'm playing it, and then after like, 1 second of me clicking launch it immediately closes with nothing appearing whatsoever.

Solution
If you are having trouble launching the modding tools:
1) Make sure the modding kit and base game are installed in the same drive.
2) Make sure your base game is on version 1.5.2 (tools and base game must be on the same version - currently 1.5.2)
3) Make sure you don't have any mods installed
4) Make sure you install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable x64

If all that fails to resolve your problem, you need to post a bug report here: https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?forums/bug-crash-reports.784/
