TW was putting out multiple patches per week recently, but there's been nothing for over a week now. Are they on vacation? Any news on when the next patch will be?
In other words:I meant 1.5.4 is at test, 1.5.5 (which includes that particular change) can be at beta 2-3 weeks later.
False! There haven't been any multiple upgrade patches in a week; beta goes to stable branch, a new beta is released and there may be a hotfix or two the same week or following week. The frequency has been constant for a while now - a new version every 2nd or 3rd week (usually 3rd). Last upgrade was 28/09 and they tried to update yesterday, (which would have been 17 days since prior version) but ran into a problem on Steam so will be next week (early next week, presumably).
Good idea. How can I find the devs' usernames please? (I'm new here.)Pro tip, click on devs' usernames and click "follow". This way their posts, no matter where, will show in your forum's news feed. Easiest way to stay abreast of what is going on.
To answer your question though, Devs said yesterday that a hickup with steam blocked the patch release yesterday, so it has been delayed to early next week.
Those are the hotfixes he meant. Those aren´t significant updates (they don´t change the gameplay/balancing/and so on) but of course fixing bugs is good.Patch on Oct. 9: https://www.taleworlds.com/en/News/403

Hotfixes. Real patches (which have an incremented version number) are every 2-3 weeks. The lack of hotfixes recently is actually a good thing, because it means the last version update is relatively stable and TW can move on to the next update without having to spend time investigating and fixing too many critical defects.False!

I can't tell if you're trolling. Here's a long list of technical issues including over a 100 known bugs. https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?forums/mount-blade-ii-bannerlord.528/Hotfixes. No, he's right. A hotfix is a quick patch you release because of an emergency bug that needs to be addressed. Having known bugs is "normal", it's about priority. Lack of hotfixes after a new version is deployed means that said version hasn't had a critical new bug, so the dev can work on KNOWN bugs instead of working on NEW ones.I can't tell if you're trolling. There was an issue with Steam this last Thursday, they were trying to push the next patch but something went wrong. Expect it either Monday or Tuesday this next week.
Does it matter?
I hope you do realize there is still 150-200k people play this game dailyDoes it matter? The patch won't be significant enough for anyone of us to come back and play anyway.
The lack of hotfixes is a good thing. For further evidence, see the scope of the 1.5.4 update, as attention wasn't focused on too many critical defects. The lack of patches is a good thing now.....
Lack of HOTFIXES, not patch. Read my previous post a few places above yours to understand why.The lack of patches is a good thing now.....
