Highland Warlord Bracers - Cost: 4751 25 protection

Rough Tied Bracers - Cost - 870 30 protection

So Rough Tied Bracers is 6 times cheaper and has more protection?

has to do with the quality of the piece. value is not defined just by armor

What do you mean by quality? looks? Do items degrade, and higher quality lasts longer?

Pardon my naivety, just trying to understand what exactly is the difference.

Its because they're different types of armor.
Warlord bracers are "plate" armor and rough bracers are "cloth" armor so the plate has a higher price factor even tho its worse.
IIRC plate has a price factor of 2.4 while cloth has 0.6.
So yeah its silly but some cloth or leather items will be better and cheaper than some plate ones. It was like that in WB also where a "lordly lether armor" would cost 10-15K more than a "cracked full plate harness" and be leaps and bounds worse.
I think the issue here is that the quality modifiers don't show up in the UI yet/are not implemented.

Pretty sure the problem here is that rough tied bracers have the wrong armor value.

I'd say they have the the best armor/weight ratio in the game and they are indeed dirt cheap.
